If you are a small business owner, you might be thinking about getting the support you need to crack the code of digital marketing. Unfortunately, many people over-complicate the processes and lose their focus along the way. You should always set out on the journey with a clear goal in mind, and stay focused on that goal until you are able to

Coaching

When you struggle with growing and scaling your business, you often look for guidance from experts. If you get a coach, you will get more clarity and better understanding of how to manage your time and plan your growth. Sometimes we need a second pair of eyes and some structure. For me, Tony Mazzotti from Actioncoach has provided all that.

Pros:

You will get clarity in your business and improve your strategy. You can become more focused on your business and learn how to simplify processes.

Cons:

Unfortunately, not all coaches are experts at everything, They can certainly point you in the right direction and give you general tips, but they will not get down to details. Instead, they tend to focus on the big picture, which is not necessarily bad.

Social Media Groups

You can get advice from social media groups, and there are plenty of Facebook support gatherings offering help for startups and struggling entrepreneurs. You can certainly find out what others are doing to get their brand noticed.

Pros:

You can grow your network and get to find people who have already been in your shoes. There are several people giving away free information or offering a Q and A session online.

Cons:

The quality of information will be questionable. Unfortunately, there are too many “so called social media gurus” who don’t even have a basic qualification. You would not ask a plumber to operate on you, so why should you listen to people who are only a few steps ahead of you?

Online Education

Pros:

You can enroll in an online social media marketing training on free and low cost education sites, such as Alison and Udemy. You can pick up some great tips and improve your skills in your own time.

Cons:

Most of the free and cheap courses will not be accredited,  and you will have no control over the content that is delivered and how relevant it it to your business.

Strategy and Sales Funnel Development

You can also sit down with a qualified social media and sales funnel expert to tailor your strategy to your needs and create a marketing automation plan.

Pros:

You will get to talk about your problems and find the solution with a sales funnel expert. You can also focus on the issues you are having and avoid wasting time on studying things that have no value in your business.

Cons:

You will need to put in effort and become the co-creator of your marketing strategy. When I sit down with my potential clients, I usually qualify them to make sure they are serious and committed enough to see the campaign through.

Campaign Management

You can automate your campaigns using ClickFunnels, LeadPages, or other software, or use an agency. This solution is perfect for busy professionals.

Pros:

You will free up your time and have full control on what you post You will also achieve consistency.

Cons:

Unfortunately, many digital marketing software are simply too complicated. That is why some of my clients give up before they would finish their free trial. You will need time to invest in learning how different platforms work.
